  2. Pregame notes from FedExField; should Boise State-Virginia Tech winner be ranked No. 1?

It appears Nate Potter will start at left tackle, where he was an All-WAC pick last year, and Joe Kellogg will start at left guard. That's how they lined up in pregame warm-ups. That was the expected lineup if Kellogg was healthy. Boise State's captains for the game are quarterback Kellen Moore, offensive tackle Nate Potter, nickel Winston Venable and defensive end Jarrell Root. Or put the Boise State-Virginia Tech winner there. The Broncos and Hokies are both perennial contenders for a BCS game, so the winner will have by far the best win in the country. The only other… Full Story »

Boise State junior quarterback Kellen Moore is No. 3 on Huston's preseason poll of select Heisman voters going into Monday's opener against Virginia Tech. I asked Huston his… Full Story »

Bhonapha was arrested early Friday morning on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence. The Idaho State Police stopped him on Meridian Road just outside of Kuna. Oh please save the sugar coating. You deserve all the bad press coming your way. GO VANDALS!!!!!!!!! And remember what you said the next time the Vandals get bad press. Bronco Beat Boise State Football Blog on the Idaho Statesman &bull Sep 2, 2010

Teams rarely tackle during the offseason. They go through a lot of drills where they get into tackling position, but the Broncos almost never tackle a guy to the ground except in scrimmages. That concern is enhanced by Virginia Tech's powerful ground game, which features the slashing Ryan Williams and bulldozing Darren Evans, and the presence of slippery quarterback Tyrod Taylor. The thing that is so… Full Story »
